<p>Floor tiles â€“ stoneware or terracotta?</p>
<p>Both stoneware and terracotta tiles are fired from special clay. The main difference that should be remembered is the difference in resistance to damage and frost resistance. In this respect, stoneware wins. If we want to have frost-resistant tiles on the terrace or balcony, we should definitely look for stoneware. Terracotta should be installed indoors.</p>
<h2 style="font-size: 2em; padding: 5px 0px; margin-top: 30px; margin-bottom: 20px;">Polished or glazed stoneware â€“ which one to choose?</h2>
<p>The stoneware surface can be finished in various ways. Each finishing method has its advantages. There are also things to remember when choosing glazed or polished stoneware.</p>
<p><b>Polished stoneware is extremely smooth</b> and usually shiny. The smooth surface makes cleaning easier. <b>However, remember to regularly impregnate polished stoneware.</b> Such a floor should also be wiped quickly if, for example, wine or other coloring liquid is spilled on it.</p>
<p><b>Glazed stoneware is covered with a thin layer of glaze</b>. <b>Thanks to this, the tiles are perfectly protected against the penetration of dirt</b>. Such floor tiles do not require impregnation, and you can use any household chemicals for cleaning.</p>
<h2 style="font-size: 2em; padding: 5px 0px; margin-top: 30px; margin-bottom: 20px;">Kitchen and bathroom tiles â€“ what's the difference?</h2>
<p>You can lay any floor tiles in the kitchen and bathroom. Both stoneware and terracotta do not absorb moisture, which occurs in both rooms. <b>When choosing tiles for the bathroom, it is worth paying attention to the level of slip resistance of the tile. Class R9 is the lowest, R13 the highest</b> . A higher class reduces the risk of accidentally slipping on a wet tile. However, please remember that this type of floor tile has a rougher structure, which makes it a bit more difficult to keep clean.</p>
<h2 style="font-size: 2em; padding: 5px 0px; margin-top: 30px; margin-bottom: 20px;">Rectified tiles - what does it mean?</h2>
<p>All tiles are exactly the same size before firing. The clay from which floor tiles are made changes its properties and shape during firing. For this reason, after firing, all tiles are checked for color and size. Minimum differences in dimensions are allowed for each manufacturer. The exception are <b>rectified tiles, i.e. polished after firing</b>. When purchasing rectified tiles, we guarantee perfectly even edges and repeatable dimensions. Thanks to this <b>, rectified floor tiles can be laid using a thin joint</b>. A floor arranged this way looks very interesting because the joints are hardly visible.</p>
<h2 style="font-size: 2em; padding: 5px 0px; margin-top: 30px; margin-bottom: 20px;">Floor tiles â€“ stone or wood color?</h2>
<p><b>Concrete or stone-imitating tiles have been very popular for many years</b>. This pattern looks good when, for example, we have 60x60 or 120x60 floor tiles. Modernly produced tiles no longer have a monotonous appearance. Typically, one type of tile has several so-called "faces". This means that one package contains tiles with minimal differences in drawing. In this way, when laying out a large surface, it does not look like a template.</p>
<p><b>Wood-like tiles</b> in the shape of long boards, with natural-looking grain, <b>are a good and universal solution</b>.
